Equine Dentistry

Dennis was raised on a mixed farm near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1970 he has been in practice at Moore Equine Veterinary Clinic in Calgary, a full service equine practice with 15 veterinarians on staff.

During his practice career he developed an ongoing interest in equine dentistry. He developed and tested several rotary instruments which became precursors to a successful right angle design and obtained a patent on a motorized dental instrument called the PowerFloat in the year 2000. Since that introduction several modalities have been added along with that basic technology.

He remains actively involved in the development of new technology that can be applied to the advancement of equine dentistry.
